Breast Cancer Awareness Month

by | Oct 3, 2018 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign that helps increase awareness of the disease. Did you know about 1 in 8 women will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime? In 2018 alone, approximately 41,000 women in the U.S. are expected to die from breast cancer. Here at Hello Love, we want to help those who may be suffering from this awful disease. We offer complementary services to anyone who is going through cancer treatments. We will cut their hair, shave their head (if needed), and discuss all of the options about hair, wigs and make-up! We think everyone is BEAUTIFUL and we want to help all people feel that way. For more information about our Beautiful You program, click HERE.

At Hello Love, we also want to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer can be frightening and confusing both for those who are diagnosed and their family and friends. It is crucial to have a strong support system that can be there to help with both the physical and emotional needs that comes with this disease. There are lots of local organizations that provide support services right here in the Oklahoma City area. For more information, check out the Susan G. Komen Central and Western Oklahoma website! This site contains lots of great information about how to get involved and how to get support if you or a loved one are battling breast cancer. You can find more details HERE.

We want to support you, build you up, remind you that cancer does NOT define you…you are BEAUTIFUL and STRONG!
